What this list covers
Most chess teaching around Oslo happens inside the clubs: weekly junior groups sorted by age or level, beginners' evenings, and courses that run through a school term. The Dragulf group runs games evenings, seven-week evening courses for children that anyone can sign up for at schools in Oslo, Bærum and Rælingen, and after-school courses for pupils; SjakkAkademiet trains children and adults at Bærum Idrettspark in groups from Minisjakken upwards; Norges Toppidrettsgymnas in Bekkestua has its chess line, Sjakklinja, for its own pupils.
In the city centre Sjakkhuset, the chess shop in the same premises as The Good Knight in Badstugata, sells private lessons, a monthly Saturday course and a beginners' course.
